Land Of the Flying Blocks

We need the flying squirrel suit here. In my opinion picking up items with the ZR trigger and Y button does NOT work well enough. At least in my opinion on my wii u tablet.

Star coins #1,2 and3

(*) Near the Piranha Plants in the Red pipe all the way to the right.

Go inside, then run across a bridge for Star coin#1.

(**) Right after that the next star coin is in mid air, grab it

again with either a wall jump or the squirrel suit.

(***) Star Coin Number 3 is in plain sight as well, except it will

be barricaded by some brown blocks. Easy enough to just ground slam

it for the coin.

Seesaw Shroooms

This is a Yoshi level, your going to need him, not only to get through the level better, but also to get all star coins easier.

You will be dealing with a ton of fuzzies so without yoshi they are just going to drive you nuts.

The problem with this level is staying on Yoshi the whole way through. Lucky enough AFTER the Checkpoint there will be another Yoshi egg.

Star Coin #1 and 2

(*) Right in sight and to the left of it is the ? block containing the Yoshi. So pick up the Yoshi first then the star coin.

(**) Star Coin # 2 Is right near the Lakitu and a circle of coins in the AIR. At this star coin, your going to need Yoshi. Have him it Lakitu Then use his cloud to float up into the air and grab the coin.

The Hard To Get One...

Star Coin #3

(***) You will see TWO fuzzies circling below a lone green pipe. A Pink mushroom will be below them.

The only way i figured out to do this is to launch Mario off Yoshi into the pipe. Then after that the Star Coin seems to high to reach. Although if you double jump into the wall then wall kick you CAN in fact reach it. This may take a few attempts.

(1) Afterwards the end of the level is hard as well. I suggest full suit of any kind. Squirrel would be the best. Also suggest if you were smart enough to keep Yoshi. Start to eat all the Fuzzy enemies it will make things less difficult.

Star Coin #1

(*) In sight, but get used to the switch back platforms. They usually move in the opposite direction when Mario is standing on them. Some of them even move while you are NOT on them. Use these tactics to your advantage.

Star Coin #2

(**) This one is up a wall near a double bullet bill cannon. You will notice a hole fit for a pipe in the wall. Hop on a bullet bill then wall jump into the pipe. Be sure to hold up or you might not get inside it.

Star Coin #3

(***) For this one, time is a factor. Don't worry about catching it on its platform. Wait for the end of the level. Just try to beat it to the green area. Then snag it while it begins to fall from the platform.

Slide Lift Tower

I played this level and video recorded it BLIND. This means I ran through the level only once, yet I did not look for the star coins. I did this to try to switch up perspective of this guide.

Doing the run blind was much harder then I thought. I died maybe once or twice, it took me 12 minutes to beat the level, even though I ran it once before.

The most important factor in this level once AGAIN is the popular flying squirrel suit. It is must have. Also the fire bro's are just plain wild and they can cost you time.

Lucky enough in this level IF your super mario. You can find a squirrel mushroom right below the FIRST star coin. The first coin is in sight and just takes a few jumps to grab.

Checkpoint

Now for the 2nd star coin, work your way up past some fire bros. You should see 4 coins rotating in the right corner of the screen. There is a pipe there. Go inside and you NEED the squirrel suit at least to my knowledge.

Fly up and collect star coin number 2 which is easier said then done, but nothing out of control or to difficult.

Difficulty after Checkpoint just in case you die on star coin 3, is not to bad. The reason being is at Checkpoint there is a Super mushroom. A little ways ahead of that will be another flying squirrel suit.

Star Coin #3

After star coin 2. Exit the pipe and wall kick up an invisible wall. There will be another pipe. Go inside and enter a wild room full of Rotating slide lifts.

In the upper left corner is the coin. The problem is actually getting it. You can get crushed easy. So have a full suit. Also Try and be patient and quick. I personally ended up getting crushed twice and just making it with small mario.

Don't fret to much as there is another Super mushroom in the top right corner after getting the star. Exit the pipe and enter the Mini Boss Door.

Magic Koopa

Tough tough battle. 3 hits as always.

There really is no short cut tactic other then to wait until you have a clear shot at his head. Wait until after he teleports then slam him with a nice Mario head jump.

Magikoopa, will throw several things at Mario. He can make the floor break, summon enemies and cast projectiles at Mario. A dangerous foe indeed.

Spinning Spirit House

1. Start off heading to the door above.

2. Once inside take the door on the right.

3. Wait until the object moves Mario all the way to the right and take the door.

4. Then take the door to the left on the 2nd floor of the room.

5. (*) Star coin : Let the punch man break the blocks. Do NOT kill him. Let him break the area where the star coin is as well. Then pick it up. Then exit the room.

6. Use the spring on the 2nd floor. Jump up to the center door on the top floor. Climb up the purple things and go through the right door.

7. Back in the main room, head to the door on the right now. Star Coin # 2: You should see it. Jump for it, and it will move. Quickly go for it again before the floor comes above it. Then exit.

8. Main room again, go down the staris to the spring. Pick up the spring and bring it to the door on the left. Jump to the left with the spring to the VERY left door on the 2ND floor.

9. Be careful here you MUST get the P button and hit it. It is down the first flight of steps and to the left.

10. After hitting it, QUICKLY fall down and follow the coins. To the right through a secret wall. Then wall kick and jump for the star coin # 3. After that exit the room via the door on the left.

11. This is the exit as well as the secret exit. It leads to the castle faster then normal.

Bouncy Cloud Boomerangs

This level is kind of easy. It would be even easier if it was not for the Boomerang Bros.

Star Coin #1

(*) Star coin 1 is easy enough to get. Just wall kick off the 2 pipes and grab it.

Star Coin #2

(**) Star coin 2 is a little more difficult to discover. Your going to go to the block bridge. One of the brown blocks or several of them, on the right side can be broken. Fall down them onto one of the two clouds.

(**) Search for the beanstalk which is inside one of the blocks. Once found take it up and grab the star coin, by hitting the POW block.

Star Coin #3

(***) Star coin number 3 is easy but it is guarded by a boomerang bro. Bounce of a cloud to grab it and don't get hit.

(1) The end level flag consist of a string of boomerang bros. Also a bunch of bouncy clouds. Put your skills to the test and make it to the flag.

*Note if having trouble you can get an invincible star in one of the blocks nearby.

A Quick Dip In The Sky

It is easy up until the water bubbles and star coin collection.

Star Coin #1

It's right in sight near 2 huge piranha plants. Get it smoothly and quickly or get bit.

Checkpoint

Star Coin #2

The check point saves us here. A little ways up from the Checkpoint is a hidden aclove with the 2nd star coin + a cannon green pipe. Jump in the pipe and let it shoot Mario into the star and into a water bubble.

Star Coin #3

After that you should see a few more water bubbles. The one in the center has TWO fuzzies circling it with a Star Coin in the middle. I highly suggest having a suit or being super mario. It is really hard to grab this one without being hit. I have not even got it myself after 4 or 5 attempts.

(1) Once you get the coin proceed up a bit more for the end level flag.

Snaking Above Mist Valley

Pick up the squirrel suit then hop on the snake block. The Squirrel suit makes this level a total cake walk !

Pick up star coins 1 and 2 which are in plain sight, then snake and platform to an easy check point.

Star coin # 3 is harder and you should use the squirrel suit for sure. Your going to have to let the snake pass the star coin, once it does jump down, then hover up into the coin. Hopefully landing back on the snake block !

(1) The flag comes up right after this so fly into it for the 1UP!

Ludwig's Clockwork Castle

1. Keep the Squirrel suit. Also try holding onto it for the entire level.

Star Coin #1

(*) Up in an aclove near two moving clockwork platforms. grab it with the squirrel suit.

2. Now There will be a FAT hammer bro, that can shock the ground and make Mario tremble. On top of him will be a POW block. If this guy kills you and you lose the squirrel suit follow step 3.

3. First to the right of the fat hammer bro is the Checkpoint of the level. Grab it. Then exit map and go to acorn valley on the World Map. A Squirrel Mushroom usually spawns here very often. Pick it up and head back to Meringue Clouds.

4. Further more if you mess up AGAIN. The mini-mushroom works as well. You can hop on the hammer bros head and hit the POW block. Which will drop the star. If you need another mini-mushroom, Meringue clouds world map Winged ? block usually holds one. To get it follow the maps rainbow mini game on the world map. Win and it usually drops inside the ? block.

5. Finally Star coin 3 is in sight. Now I suggest picking up the ice flower. There is also a fire flower near the boss door if your low on health. Grab the coin before you get crushed, then open the door to Ludwig.

Boss # 7 Ludwig Von Koopa !

Ludwig is the hardest boss battle yet !

He spilts into 3. He will shoot magical projectiles at mario from all 3 of his forms ! Then he slams the ground and has a tricky jump to boot!

Landing the first hit on Ludwig is hard and most important. After the first hit you can wait until he is done spinning then land another hit when he pops up. Then finish him off.

If you happen to miss, you better get lucky, as ludwig increases in speed and amount of projectiles casted pending on how many times he has taken damage.

Boarding the Airship

There are a few tricks to this level to make getting all star coins easier.

1. Use squirrel suit for the first star coin. Let the hand smash first then hover and fly into it.

2. Make sure to grab the ::::Checkpoint:::: directly after the star coin.

3. Riding the Rail Wheel could be really hard for new commers. It was hard for me so a trick I realized was to realize you can jump on certain platforms while riding it. You can also move mario and tilt the rail wheel at the same time.

4.You NEED the squirrel suit to get the 3rd star coin. So if you don't have one head to acron plains.

5. Once you have it, star coin 2 is easy enough. But know this, there are only 3 areas of fire, before nearing the next Checkpoint. once you pass the final blow torch you should see the star coin # 3.

6. Grab the star coin with the squirrel suit, then head right and exit. You should run into another check point. Then get ready for the boss fight with bowser jr.

Mini Boss: Bowser Jr

Note that he can be hit even when he is charging at you. Although it is safer and easier to climb his long punching arm.

Do either of these. But you must be quick when he is charging at Mario. Also note before he punches the ground, you have to dodge it as well. Bowser Jr and his face cup ballon will turn RED, right before the punch.
