Artifacts in Monster Train grant ongoing effects that work exactly the same as the Slay the Spire's Relics. Artifacts basically grant significant passive bonuses that can change how you build your deck and affect your games in the background just by being in your possession. Check out our Artifacts Guide to find out more about them as smart use of them is essential to victory in Monster Train.

There are a total of 88 different Artifacts in Monster Train which offer all manner of unique bonuses from extra Capacity and Ember to granting specific unit types bonus keywords. Check out the list below to find out exactly what each Artifact does.

Melting Remnant Clan Artifacts

Combustable Wax

Grant +3 stacks of Burnout each time it is applied..

Encased Ember

Gain 5Ember when a Tomb unit dies.

Exploding Candle

Deal 5 damage to enemy units when a Burnout unit dies.

Flicker's Liquor

When you play a unit, a random card in hand is reduced to 0Ember for the turn.

Melting Spout

Tomb units get +30Health.

Memorial Fund

Gain 5Gold when a friendly unit dies.

Mold Braces

Fiendly units gain 'Extinguish: Apply Armor 5 to the front friendly unit'.

Resin Block

When a friendly unit dies, Enhance it with +10Attack.

Votive Key

Waxer units gain Endless.

Waxer Snuffer

Extinguish abilities trigger an additional time.

Hellhorned Clan Artifacts

Ashes of the Fallen

Summon abilities trigger an additional time.

Collection of Tails

Rage does not decay.

Consumed Crown

Friendly units gain + 2Attack on kill.

Grrrg's Goad

Demon units get Multistrike 1.

Imp-cicle

At the start of your turn, add a random Imp unit to your hand.

Railhammer

Grant +4 stacks of Armor each time it is applied.

Resonant Shard

Rage adds an additional +1Attack per stack.

Scorched Steel

Friendly units enter with Armor 5.

Scorching Restraints

Friendly units enter with Rage 3.

The Unbroken Horn

Conserve Ember between turns.

Awoken Clan Artifacts

Channelheart

Sting spells get +20 Magic Power.

Cursed Vines

50% chance to swap the front and back enemy units when they enter your train.

Gnarled Root

Grant +1 stack of spikes each time it is applied.

Petrified Crucible

Spikes deal +1 damage per stack.

Priory's Cloak

When a friendly unit is healed, deal damage to the front enemy unit equal to the amount healed.

Rootsplit Mask

Apply Rooted to enemy units when they enter the floor below the Pyre Room.

Sap Tap

The first time each turn a friendly unit is healed, draw 1.

The Bloating Fungus

Regen restores +1 health per stack.

Thorn Casing

Sting spells get +10 Magic Power and Piercing.

Thornfruit

At the start of your turn, add a Sting spell to your hand.

Stygian Guard Clan Artifacts

A Forgotten Name

When you play your third spell of the turn, all cards gain +1 Magic Power for the rest of this battle.

Cuttlebeard

Grant +2 stacks of Frostbite each time it is applied. Frostbite does not decay.

Founding Seal

Incant abilities trigger an additional time.

Icicle Fracture

At the end of the turn, apply Frozen to a random card in your hand.

Rules of Containment

Enemy units enter with Frostbite 2

Sigiled Seaweed

50% chance to apply Silence when an enemy unit enters your train.

Tethys' Scales

50% chance to apply Spell Weakness when an enemy unit enters your train.

Titan's Claws

At the end of the turn, Frozen cards are reduced to 0Ember.

Token of a Traitor

Playing a spell deals 2 damage to a random enemy unit on that floor.

Totem Fragment

Apply Spell Weakness 2 to enemy units when they enter the floor below the Pyre Room.

Umbra Clan Artifacts

Abandoned Antumbra

At start of turn, add a common or uncommon Morsel unit to hand.

Chain of Gems

Apply Damage Shield 2 to the first friendly unit summoned each turn.

Commemorative Spike

At the start of battle, summon a Morsel Miner on each floor.

Fossilized Fangs

Gorge abilities trigger an additional time.

Mask of Penumbra

When you summon your first Morsel unit each turn, draw 1.

Mine Jacks

+2Capacity on the middle floor.

Refined Void

Friendly units enter with Lifesteal 2.

Shadelamp

The first time each turn an enemy unit dies, add 2 Morsel units to hand.

Teeth of Gold

Deal 3 damage to the rear enemy unit when a Morsel unit is Eaten.

Winged Technology

Morsel units get Damage Shield 1.

Clanless Artifacts

Advanced Prototype

Train Steward units gain Damage Shield 2 and Multistrike 1.

Boon of the Blacksmith

Your Pyre gets +15 Attack.

Cleansing Water

50% chance to remove all Buff effects on an enemy unit when it enters your train.

Concussive Coals

50% chance to apply Dazed when an enemy unit enters your train.

Forever Flame

Units cost -2 Ember.

Guild Marker

Merchant costs are reduced by 25%.

Hammered Chestplates

Friendly units get +3 Health.

Hell's Banners

When you summon the second unit during a turn, gain 3 Ember.

Improved Firebox

Gain 7 Ember on the first turn of battle.

Infused Mallet

25% chance to deal 5 damage when an enemy unit enters your train.

Iron Dropcage

Apply Dazed 3 to enemy units that are moved between floors outside of the ascension phase.

Jackstrips

Deal 2 damage whenever an enemy unit moves between floors.

Light's Gift

Apply Dazed to enemy units when they enter the floor below the Pyre Room.

Lightstone Casing

Spells gain an extra upgrade slot.

Precious Plating

Your Pyre gets +40 Pyre Health.

Pyrestone Housing

Units gain an extra upgrade slot.

Pyrewall

Your Pyre starts with 15 Armor each battle.

Refracting Lenses

When a card with Consume is played, restore 5 Pyre health.

Sketches of Salvation

At the start of battle, summon 4 random units from your deck onto the middle floor.

Split Anvil

When you play a spell, spells in hand that cost less are reduced to 0Ember for the turn.

Tempered Talisman

+3 Magic Power.

The First Hellpact

X Cost cards get +3 to their X value when played.

Traitor's Quill

When a card with Consume is played, deal 30 damage to the front enemy unit.

Vapor Funnel

Apply Dazed to enemy units when they enter the Pyre Room. Your Pyre gets -5 Attack.

Volatile Gauge

When you draw a card, its cost is randomized between 0Ember and 3 Ember. Draw +3 each turn.

(new cost becomes random between 0 and 3, then adds spell cost modifiers like + or - cost. ignores champion units)

Wing Clippings

Cards with Consume have a 50% chance to be discarded instead.

Winged Indulgence

Enemies get -1 Attack.

Winged Steel

When you play your third card of the turn, draw 2.

Concealed Caverns is an event that can occur in the overworld. The following Artifacts can be found by playing the indicated event.

Abandoned Stave

+1Ember per turn for every 2 Blight cards in your deck.

+2 Magic Power for every Blight card in your deck.

Ember Stasis

Playing a Blight card deals 100 damage to the front enemy unit.

Frozen Nostalgia

-1Capacity on each floor. +15 Magic Power.

Event Found: False Prophet

Heaven's Gold

Your Pyre gets +1Attack for every 10 Gold you have.

History of the World

+3Capacity on a random floor.

Cards with Purge have Consume instead.

The following Artifacts cannot be skipped in exchange for gold and they do not count as Artifacts.

Herzal's Compound

Draw +1 each turn.

Your Pyre gets +10 Attack and +20 Pyre Health

Light of Seraph

+1Capacity on each floor.

Your Pyre gets +10 Attack and +20 Pyre Health
