Instead of being an extra, unlockable stage, the Dream Palace is actually not a level at all. On the contrary, the Dream Palace only serves as a resting place for the Dream Rod. Here, players can use Kirby to summon Dream Friends (King Dedede, Meta Knight, Bandana Waddle Dee, Gooey, Marx, Rick/Kine/Coo) from previous Kirby Game Titles, thus unlocking them so they can travel alongside Kirby throughout Story Mode. Like any of the extra stages found within the game, you can only unlock the Dream Palace by activating a handful of specific Hidden Switches.
