Prior to its official worldwide release, a demo version for Kirby Star Allies was released in both Europe (March 1, 2018) and North America (March 4, 2018). This demo version was practically a tutorial of what players could expect in the real gameplay, featuring the same mechanics and Controls found in the full version. The demo included only two stages: Grasslands Stage (almost an exact replica of the real stage of Green Gardens) and Cave & Castle Stage (a combination of Donut Dome, Honey Hill, and Clash as Castle Dedede).
