The Magnificent Magma Sea

The green pipe immediately in the starting area gets you to the Chimp's Bowling Challenge for the hidden Star. For now carefully pull yourself through the Pull Stars. Grab the Pull Star beneath the Launch and then drift yourself into the Launch Star. You fly straight into another Launch so be ready on the spinning. On its time to show your pole moves. Pretty simple, just jump from pole to pole rotating yourself to be backward towards the next one in the line. Then its cylinders in the lava that will move underneath you. Just keep moving and you'll get to the torandoes. Spin into one and that will launch you to the next. Then its a flower swing to a Launch Star.

They saved the best for last. You need to jump from boulder to boulder while dodging the lava spikes. Get to the boulder the Comet Medal is on and the get back.

Continue working through the lava till you get to the Star. You need a double spin attack to free the Star and finish the level.

A Stroll Down Rolling Lane

First off this is a great area to farm Star Bits and Lives.  Just make sure you get the center 1UP and you do have to eventually finish for the Bits to counts, but the Lives stay no matter one.

When you first get the Rock Mushroom ball up and jump to get over the ledge and hit the bridge. This will lower the bridge. Now roll your way through the launch pads and jump through the center hole of the first area to get the 1UP. Now just carefully roll through as many Star Clusters as you can and be careful of the gaps. When you hit the rubber bands at the end, let them do the work, sending you back on the angle you came in on. Then hit the box in the back left corner to get out of Rock formation so you can get the Star.

This is in the Green Pipe right away on the side at the very beginning. Just wait for the "pins" to line up and you'll get the required score no-problem.

Melty Monster Green Stars x3

Green Star #1 is above the pull stars. Watch out for the lava creatures and then star falling. Use the momentum to grab the top pull star and fling yourself high into the Star.
Green Star #2 is back to the left on the tornado section. Use the top left tornado to fling you into it.
Green Star #3 is to the right of the rubber band section. Just roll off and get.
