How to Use Guns

All playable characters in GreedFall regardless of their class will eventually be able to use guns. Although you can have guns in your inventory early in the game you will not be able to use them in battles. This How to Use Guns guide will tell you everything you need to know about using guns.

The ability to use guns in GreedFall is tied to the 'Firearms' skill. This is the icon that is leftmost of the six central skills found on the screen. Although this Fireams skill is unlocked automatically at the start of the game it does not mean you can use the guns in your inventory. This is because guns have requirements tied to specific skills and attributes that you will need to unlock before they can be used, if you have the gun in your inventory these requirments are noted under the stats and boosts the weapon gives its user.

Once you have met the needed requirements for the gun you want to use you will notice that the words will have turned from red into white. This is to indicate that you will now be able to select the Firearms section in your 'Equipment' menu and be able to equip it. To switch between weapons during combat you need to press R1 if you are on PlayStation 4 or RB on Xbox One.
