Best Early Character Build

This Best Early Character Build will help you choose the best options when you first create a character in GreedFall.

When you create a character in GreedFall you have the choice of three classes; Warrior, Magic, or Technical. At the start of the game the class you choose will influence your Skills tree, the Attributes tree and the Talent tree. The leveling and progression system of GreedFall is tree-based so you will not be bound or restricted to any particular achetype so you will be able to branch out into the other two classes as you progress through the game. This will eventaully enable you to fine-tune your character and mold it to your own distinct play style.

Skills

Skills are needed to unlock certain weapons in Greedfall, they also provide other benefits like extra damage or effects to certain weapons.

Attributes

Attributes are the basic stats of a character: Strength, Endurance, Agility, Accuracy, Metal Power, and Willpower. The highest possible score is needed in an Attribute in order to be able to wield the best weapons associated with that Attribute.

Charisma

Charisma unlocks extra dialogue options with NPCs and provides better prices in shops.

Science

Science improves crafted consumables

Vigor

Vigor improves athletic ability to make certain traversal options viable.

Lockpicking

Lockpicking makes it easier to get into locked containers or areas.

Craftsmanship

Craftsmanship will allow you to improve your armour and weapons

Intuition

Intuition provides unique dialogue options separately from Charisma.

Best Starting Skills, Talents, and Attributes

Remember that as the game progresses you will be able to branch out into the skills of the two classes you didn't choose. To begin with though it is advised that you focus on the skills that are dedicated to the class you selected.

Warrior

The Warrior Class focuses on melee combat so it makes sense that you develop strength and also a roll so you will be able to quickly dodge an opponent's blows.

Recommended Talents: Craftsmanship and Vigor.

Recommended Attributes: Strength and Endurance.

Magic

If you chose this class you need to to be developing a tree of magic abilities, but also investing in magic healing.

Recommended Talents: Science and Intuition.

Recommended Attributes: Mental Power and Willpower.

Technical

If you opted for theTechnical class it is advised that you invest in the skill Shadow Impact as this attack not only knocks away enemies but also makes them more vulnerable to damage.

Recommended Talents: Science and Lockpicking.

Recommended Attributes: Accuracy and Agility.
