Drum Puzzle Guide

During the main story quest, 'Face to Face with the Demon', you will head off into a swamp to try and find a demon you saw in a vision. You will eventually be greeted by an Aged Hermit who will tell you about an ancient ritual. This Drum Puzzle Guide will tell you how to beat the drums in the correct order so that you can progress further in the story.

To begin with you need to head towards Vedvilvie in Swamp Sanctuary, there you will come across some people and Aged Hermit who will talk to you. Afterwards objective markers will appear around this location that you have to go to and investigate. You need to go and search each of the markers so you can return to the Aged Hermit with the correct items. During your search, you will come across the Insect picture painted on a wall of the rock. Investigate it, and then head to the back where you can get a key from a corpse. Search the other locations to find two chests. You will discover that these chests can be opened with the key that you got from the corpse. When you open one of the chests it will contain the Potion of The Demonic Ritual, the other chest contain items that you will also need to collect. Now that you have the ingredients to solve the puzzle return to the Aged Hermit and talk to him until you have finished all the dialogue options.

To solve the Dum Puzzke you have to beat the three drums in the correct order. The correct order is:

• Yellow Insect drum

• Black Frog drum

• Red Snake drum

Once you play the drums in the correct sequence, you will be able to proceed. If however you play the drums in the wrong order you will be penalised by being attacked. After the puzzle, there is a fight with the boss of the area which will reward you a Memory Crystal when you defeat it.
