How to Unlock New Game Plus

Ghostwire: Tokyo does not have a New Game Plus in the traditional sense, only certain items get carried over to a second playthrough. This How to Unlock New Game Plus guide will tell you everything you need to know about this feature in Ghostwire: Tokyo.

There is no New Game Plus in Ghostwire: Tokyo where you carry everything you earned in the inital playthrough over to a second playthrough. When the credits have stopped rolling, and you start a second playthrough of Ghostwire: Tokyo you will be able to replay the game with the unlockables you were able to get during your previous playthrough, it will not carry over player level, skills, and equipment to your new game.

This second playthrough of Ghostwire: Tokyo will place you before the transition to Chapter 5. You will restart just in front of KK's apartment with the world as you left it before going to Chapter 5. At this point in the game you will be able to explore the open world and do any side missions you may have missed the first time while collecting as many items as you can. Listed below are the items that are carried over to the second playthrough.

- Transmission Beads (Prayer Beads)

- Ko-omote: Prototype (Music)

- Yaseotoko: Prototype (Music)

- Abyss: Prototype (Music)

- Outfits

- Emotes

- Camera Filters

- Music Tracks

- Transmission Beads

- Ghostwire Tokyo Transmission Beads

Most of the items listed above that are carried over when you start the second playthrough do not impact gameplay as most of them are either cosmetics or tracks that you can play as you go out and explore again.

The first time you complete Ghostwire: Tokyo you will unlock Prayer Breads called Transmission Beads. This item will always be given to you whenever you star a new game. Whenever you absorb souls while wearing Transmission Beads you will automatically transmit them to Ed, which will allow you to receive your reward of XP and money on the spot enabling you to skip all the payphone parts of the Spirit Transmission process. Keep in mind that the amount of XP and Meika that you can make is limited when you use this method, you will only get the amount per one spirit.
