How to Level Up Fast

In Ghostwire: Tokyo it is essential that you level up as doing so enables you to unlock new skills and abilities which results in more locations you can unlock. Also, each time you increase your Synergy Level you will earn additional Skill Points, which can then be used to strengthen your character. Before you can level up you will need to first earn enough XP, this How to Level Up Fast will tell you the different ways this can be achieved.

There are multiple ways in Ghostwire: Tokyo in which you can level up and some of them are far quicker than others. You will be able to level up at a reasonable pace by a main story playthrough but if you want to speed up the process the most efficient options are listed below.

Absorb and Transfer Spirits

Without doubt the best way in which to level up quickly in Ghostwire: Tokyo is to absorb the spirits which you will be able to find floating around on the streets of Shibuya. Using your Spectral Vision ability is the easiest way in which to find these spirits, to absorb these them you simply have to approach the spirit and hold the L2 button on your PlayStation 5 controller. Keep in mind that this will only work if you have an empty Katashiro in your possession, if you don't have one you can purchase Katashiro from convenience stores or find them at shrine altars once the shrine's torii gates have been purified. Another way in which to get spirits is to destroy the large red and black corrupted trees that are scattered throughout the streets in order to find their cores and then hitting them with the bow or Ethereal Arts. Once you have collecting spirits you need to transfer them from one of the many payphones found throughout the city.

Pull Out Enemy Cores and Perform Stealth Kills

Another good way to earn XP quickly in Ghostwire: Tokyo is to Kill Visitors, ideally performing special kills whenever possible to maximize your return. You will be able to get additional XP and Ether by Quick Purging enemies (stun or sneak up on a Visitor and then hold L2) or pulling out their cores (expose their cores using Ethereal Arts and then hold L2 to yank them out). Try to perform these techniques as often as possible, when your character has grown in strength you will be able to pull out multiple cores at once.

Complete Side Missions

Once you reach the halfway point of Chapter 2 of Ghostwire: Tokyo side missions will start to become available. When you complete them you will earn Meika and Spirits which you can then trade for XP at phoneboxes around the city. Whilst completing these side missions you will encounter plenty of floating spirits which you can absorb into Katashiro and transferred out of the city for additional XP and Meika.
