Rank S Guide

Support Rank S is the highest possible support rank units can achieve in the game. However, this is only reserved for Alear and he/she can only establish this support rank with one character of the player’s choosing. In our Rank S guide, we will quickly discuss which characters can become Alear’s romantic partners or platonic friends after achieving support rank S.

Fire Emblem Engage is a latest installation for the critically-acclaimed Fire Emblem series, offering a fresh approach to the tried-and tested tactical, turn-based JRPG formula fans have seen in recent years. Players are treated with the return of the Triangle System, weapons with no durability, and of course, the fresh new Emblem/Bond Ring mechanic.

Rank S and the Pact Ring

There are various methods of increasing a unit’s support rank towards each other. (Please refer to our dedicated page for it). As mentioned above, only Alear and his/her chosen partner can have support Rank S. There are two requirements to do this:

* Ally with support Rank A

* Obtain the Pact Ring

The Pact Ring is a key item and there’s only one that exists in the game so players are highly encouraged to carefully choose whoever they would like to give it to. Just progress through the story normally and you’ll be able to retrieve this ring from the Memento Drawer in Alear’s room. An ally that’s paired with Alear using the ring will have his/her notebook entry updated and you’ll be able to see a unique cutscene for that valued ally at the game’s epilogue.

Rank S Relationships

An ally getting a Pact Ring doesn’t necessarily constitute romantic connection with Alear. While Alear can have a same-sex relationship with an ally, there will be some limitations. You can refer to the chart below for more information about who can be romantic partners or friends after giving them the ring.
