How to Heal and Restore Health in Evil Dead: The Game
It is crucial in order to be successful in Evil Dead: The Game that your character is strong and healthy. This How to Heal and Restore Health guide will tell you how this is achieved.
Evil Dead: The Game has a simple healing system to remember, you don't heal and restore as you collect items you instead stack health items and use them when you decide you need to bring up your health. Health items in this game are called Shemp's Colas and you take them by pressing the 'Up' button on your controller's D-pad (on Console) or the '2' key on PC. This will start a short animation that will heal you, keep in mind you will be vulnerable to assault throughout this animation so ideally you need to make sure you are somewhere safe before you take them.
You will be able to find Shemp's Colas indoors, inside buildings, stables, and other structures, just be sure to use your flashlight to highlight and grab them. When you do manage to find one you can take them by holding down the Triangle or the Y button on your controller. This will add the Shemp Cola to the healing item slot and you will be able to push the D-pad (or press the button on PC) for it to restore your health. You will only be able to carry a set amount of Shemp Cola so be sure to mark it for others if you don't need it. You can easily mark a health item in Evil Dead: The Game so that it is highlighted for other players by pressing L2 (PlayStation), LT (Xbox), or Alt (PC).
If you are playing as the demon, you can't heal, so all possessions and your demon form will slowly deplete your health. Once you possess something else or return to your spirit form, you will be restored to your full health.
