Finishing attacks in Evil Dead: The Game are gory moves that you can perform with your chosen character. Each character has their own unique finishing move, but the mechanism to perform the move is essentially the same. Take a look at our Finishing Attack Guide to find everything you need to know about performing these powerful attacks.
Finishing attacks are moves with unique animations that can be performed any time you want and are capable of killing Demons. Not all finishing attacks will kill a demon, but they will be powerful enough to stun the enemy, so you can take advantage of their staggered state. It is recommended that you experiment with the different melee weapons to find your favored finishing attacks.
During a battle with an enemy you will get a prompt by the game to land a finishing attack (press R3 on your controller). When this happens look for a red skull icon to appear over the prompt. This indicates that if you perform your finishing attack now it will hit your target. To trigger the red skull icon you will either need to damage the Demon enough or cause it to stagger from filling its balance meter. Keep in mind you need to be close to the level of the Demon as elevation causes the red skull icon to disappear. When you kill minions with finishing attacks there is an increased chance that they will drop an item or ammo. Finishing attacks will still inflict plenty of damage to an enemy even if there is no red skull icon but afterwards your foes balance bar will be refilled.
When your character does a finishing attack in Evil Dead: The Game they will be invulnerable to attacks. They will continue to regenerate stamina and their passive aura abilities will remain active. A good strategy therefore is to perform a finishing move when you are surrounded by multiple Demons in order to prevent any damage accumulation. If the Demon survives your initial finishing attack, you need to make sure you continue landing more in quick succession to save your health points.
