How to Level Up your Dragons in Dragalia Lost?

One unique feature of the game is actually having almost everything in it - its own Leveling system. The same is true with the Dragons you can shape-shift into. If you think they static accessories that you simply equip, then you are mistaken -- as Dragons too, can level up in Dragalia Lost.

There are two ways to improve on your Dragon in the game:

1. Dragon Trees - inside the castle grounds (The Halidom) you can build a production type of building called dragon trees. Like the Rupie mine, it produces a resource item over a period of time. This one produces Dragon fruits instead. Dragon fruits are mainly used to level up your Dragons (gives EXP). Upgrading this facility similarly increase both its maximum hold capacity and income rate.

2. Dracoliths - inside the castle grounds (The Halidom) you can build this facility that acts similar to that of the elemental altars. They generally provide passive buffs to Dragons that shares the same elemental affinity. Upgrading these facilities will increase the passive buffs they provide.

There are also the various items that are necessary to power up your Dragons like Scales, and Spheres. You can earn these items as loots when you take part in the Dragon Trials -- which you'll get to unlock as soon as you've accomplished the 3rd Chapter of the campaign.

Dragon Trials are additional Event Quests which sets you up a battle with one of your Dragons. It has various tiers of difficulty -- which normally means the higher the difficulty of the quest, the better reward items you get in return. As with other in-game events (like Avenue of Fortune and Avenue of Power), you have the option to play them in Co-op Mode which will generally help you beat them more easily.

When you give a Dragons a dragon fruit, it will earn experience and gradually fill an experience gauge. When it levels up, you'll earn passive increase in its HP and Strength. However, if what you are looking for is prolonging the state in which you are in the dragon-form, what you might want to do is to improve your relationship with your dragon instead by giving it gifts in the Dragon Roost. When you improve on your relationship with your dragon, you gradually increase the shape-shift duration when you Summon them in battles. Additionally, when you give gifts to your dragons, they usually hand out stuff in return. In most cases, they are also used to improve your dragons.
