How to Open Locked Doors

In order to progress in Assassin's Creed Valhalla you will need to do a lot of exploration which will involve visiting different villages and small settlements. Most of the time you will be able to freely wander around them and enter buildings through doors and windows. There will however be instances where you will encounter buildings that are blocked off to you because they are locked. If the door is just locked you need to search the surrounding area as there should be a key relatively nearby. If you use your Odin Sight it will lead you to its location. There will be instances you will be led to an enemy, if this is the case then you will need to kill the enemy in order for them to drop the key. There will be other times when you will not need to use the Odin Sight as it will be hidden somewhere close and you simply have find it and collect it from wherever it is sitting. One you have found the key you just need to return and interact with the locked door.

If the door you are trying to access is barred from the other side you will need to find a window or another opening that gives you a clear view of it from the other side. From there you need to use your bow and shoot at the bar, you may have to use your Odin’s sight to find out what part you are supposed to shoot. The part you need to hit will start glowing red.

It may be a case of the entrance you are trying to access is barracaded. There are two types of barricades, there are those that are made of planks and those that are made up of rocks and rubble. If the barricade is made up of planks you just need do is pull out your bow and shoot it. If it’s made of rocks and rubble you will need to blow it up. You will be able to easily do this if you look for a red clay pot in the vicinity and throw it at the barricade. These red clay pots are filled with oil and will explode on impact.
