How to get More Leather and Iron Easily in Assassins Creed Valhalla

One of the ways in Assassins Creed to make your character stronger is to use leather and iron to upgrade your weapons and armour to increase their Power Level and the stats so they inflict more damage or reduce the damage you take. Our How to get More Leather and Iron Easily guide will ensure you always have plenty of both resources.

Although you can always use Eivor's raven to locate leather and iron deposits that are scattered across the world the amount you will earn will not be substantial. In the wild iron can be found amidst shiny rocks that will need to be broken up to get the iron ore inside and leather can be obtained by killing animals. There is however an easier way to collect both of these materials.

On your Assassin's Creed Valhalla map there are three coloured orbs, the one which is yellow indicates Wealth. If you zoom the map all the way in these orbs will appear in varying sizes. The smaller sized Wealth orbs indicate chests which you will be able to locate by pinging your Odin Sight. Not all of the chests though will contain leather and iron, those that can be found in the Christian monastries that Eivor and his crew can raid will also have supplies for settlement upgrades. When you find find a chest you can typically expect to find 50-60 of both leather and iron inside.

In Assassins Creed Valhalla you also always have the option to buy leather and iron from vendors at the exchange rate of one Silver for one iron or leather. Each vendor has their own stock which will be 200 leather and 200 iron and it will refresh after an hour of real world time. In order to preserve your Silver it is recommended that you search for these chests rather then visit a vendor. The only time you should contemplate spending Silver with a vendor to get these materials is when you need just a few more pieces of leather or iron to complete an upgrade.

Take a look at our How to Start a Raid guide to find out how to initiate them during the game, how to complete them and also what rewards you can expect to earn from them.
