Top Ten Unova Pokemon That Deserve A Mega Evolution

#2 - Archeops

If any of the Pokemon on this were to get a Mega Evolution - of course outside Hydreigon and the Starters - we really hope its this Pokemon. Archeops is a really sad story, well, at least after it is below fifty percent of its Hit Points. After such a scenario because of its Ability, it's Attacking Power is immediately cut in half, and it is borderline USELESS. It's almost like the crutch set forth on Regigigas, whom is an easy target for the first five moves. Regigigas is as easy a defeat in those five turns as Archeops is after finding itself below the halfway mark of its Hit Points.

Now we don't even care if Archeops receives the stat jumps or a new design, all we care about is Archeops, or Mega Archeops for that matter, no longer having the the ability of Defeatist. If it were to gain anything else, besides Taunt of course, it would be sufficient. Shell Armor? Sure thing. Justified? Why not. Anything, and we stress ANYTHING would be better than Defeatist.

But it would be nice to see Archeops to get an ability like Tough Claws, since it does lose the Choice Band or Life Orb power boost with a mega stone. It would also be nice if it got a little boost to both of its offensive stats, but we think most of the hundred base stat point boost would go to its defenses. No Pokemon is infallible, and they wouldn't let Archeops be the first. But, like we said, we're not looking for that. All we want is for it to drop Defeatist, and actually have a chance at being a good Pokemon no matter where its Hit Points are at.
