Top 10 Scariest Pokemon
#2 - Hoopa
Up next is Hoopa, a Pokemon that has taken the World of Pokemon over by storm. Hoopa could have perhaps even justifiably been ranked first on our list, and good reason to.
To begin, let's start with Hoopa's Altered Form. When Hoopa was first released, it wasn't known that its form was its altered form (Bound From). Hoopa looked like a little magician that liked to play little tricks on people by moving objects from one place to another. But in all actuality, Hoopa's power goes beyond that. It wasn't until the release of Pokemon OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire that Hoopa's true power became known (because of hacking). This power and evil resides in Hoopa's first and true form, its Unbound Form.
Unbound Hoopa is crazy strong and evil. Just the sheer appearance of it looks evil, and its actions back up its looks. Its ultimate goal is utter destruction, and with the power it has, it does so quite easily. Apparently Unbound Hoopa was so out of control, that its power was banished to a genie bottle. Unbound Hoopa enjoyed transporting Legendary Pokemon, including Mega and Primal ones, to different locations, hoping to cause them to destoroy each other and the locations they were transported to. If you've seen the Pokemon Anime, you know that most Legendary Pokemon can't stand each other and they often battle against each other. Unbound Hoopa knew this, and it wanted to use this to its advantage. Now if that isn't evil, I don't know what is.
But it doesn't stop there! Hoopa is so strong and evil (which is where its terror lies) that apparently only Arceus (the Pokemon God) can stop it. Now that's crazy! If only Arceus can stop it, you know its super powerful!Hoopa is that rare Pokemon case where the destruction is causes makes it scary.

Well, Gengar will still be my favorite pokemon no matter what. ;) Second fav is Gastly, and next fav is Haunter. (And I love how Wikipedia says Gengar is popular with males. I'm female. ^_^)
But Pokedex entries can't describe every individual pokemon's behavior. Gastly in "The Tower of Terror" episode, the Gastly in "The Ghost of Maiden's Peak," and Officer Jenny's Gastly all had different behaviors and personalities. It's like how if pokemon could write a pokedex entry of human beings, they might say something like "Human beings rob, murder, torture, and many other things I would prefer not to say." But clearly not all human beings do that. Just like Ash's friend Haunter didn't have any desire to lick Ash or his friends to death. The "Tower of Terror" episode Gengar was definitely a lot friendlier and more benign than the Gengar in "The Ancient Puzzle of Pokemopolis" too.
But aside from these things, this article was fun to read. ^_^
Hypno can be FRIENDLY!!!!!!!! If he can eat your dreams he can also eat your nightmares. Which is good. And here's a sneak peak of my list. Scariest Pokemon ever:Darkrai
This list totally needs Darkrai...
Yep.
in the original Japaneses version it doesn't say Dusknoir takes people to the "spirit world" it say it takes them to the UNDERWORLD.
No Darkrai? Dude he feeds off people's nightmares and he can do that from 4 miles away, also no giratina but these pokemon are horrifying. And why is spoink in the mentions????
Spoink isn't a Pokemon that didn't make the cut. Splint is downright NOT scary
I know right! 0

Good list, but why isn't Cacturne on it?
the only pokemon that creeps me out is yamask the others are cool.....thats all i have to say on the subject
Yamask isn't creepy. It's evolved form, Cofagrigus, is scary. It can turn people to mummies
seriously, not Banette, not Dusknoir, but Yamask?
