10 Things We Wish Pokemon Would Do

Bring Back 1st Edition / Shadowless Playing Cards

I don't know why the Pokemon Company stopped releasing 1st Edition and Shadowless Pokemon Cards, but they should really bring them back. They have that nostalgic look about them (just look at it -- you know it reminds you of trading on those past playgrounds days), and they make collecting them even more interesting.

The first edition stamps and shadowless card designs only lasted for a couple of sets in the Trading Card Series; they were gone before you knew it. This made these cards extremely rare, and with that, extremely sought after. It's a real shame they stopped doing this, as it made collecting the cards more fun. The Japanese Versions of Pokemon Cards can still be first edition, but it's just not the same when compared to these old English Versions.

Everyone knows that the real money in the Pokemon Trading Game is in these older, rare cards. The difference in value between a Shadowless Card to a Regular Card is great; a Shadowless Card can be worth two times as much as a Regular Card, or even more. If the Shadowless Card has that first edition stamp, then it has even more value. A Charizard First Edition Shadowless in pristine condition can fetch up to five thousand dollars! The newer Charizard Cards, however, are worth a fraction of that at best.

This is one thing many PokeFans would agree with, I'm sure. The old look on these cards are awesome, and it makes collecting actually more exciting. More variety and difference between cards make collectors want to "Collect 'em All", if you know what I mean.

Bringing them back would also interest the older PokeFans that once collected to probably get involved once again. It sounds like a win/win to me, and probably does to other PokeFans too.
