The Top 10 Greatest Video Game Stories (Ever)

03. BioShock: Infinite

You know how a game series can establish itself with a specific voice and nature, and then just get better with each sequel? Yeah, that rarely ever happens. Take the BioShock series for example -- the first game was like a blazing flame in the wilderness. It was something different, something unique, and gamers really responded to it.

The sequel, BioShock 2 was really more of the same thing, so it did not catch the imagination in quite the same way that the first game did, but then it is pretty clear by examining Infinite that the team behind the games figured that out.

Why? Because in creating Infinite they not only leverage all that was great in the first game, but they did it without recycling, without keeping any of the bad, and more to the point, they did it while weaving into this new offering in the series a solid story with equal parts mystery and intrigue. Seriously, no way you saw that ending coming. Just saying.
