Is it possible to have more than 4 sims living in one house? I added 2 rooms to an unfurnished studio house but it still says it is too crowded to move in a 5th sim.

At the moment it is maxed out to 4 people per house. A share house can hold multiple Sims, but I think it's capped at 4 as well.
No. You can only have four Sims per household, that is the limit. You might be able to add more sims to a bigger house, but for most the limit is four.
Same problem. Thing is I want my couple to have more than two Children.
You can have 5 people living in a house you have to have your mom or dad marry someone else then grow the baby into a toddler or teen. Call them to your main house and delete the extra sim that is not the mom or dad. You will then have 5 people living in a house just make sure that the last name is the same or it will remind you that thier not your child! Hope this helps.
I think you should be able to have more then four people per house but you can't. I hope they fix the max to at least 6 people
I actually did. Back then, when the 2nd baby is loading, just after at least a small amount is loaded, you can buy another crib and add a baby. It doesn't work anymore after one of the updates.
I think there shud be no limit on people living in a house!
You have to keep levelling up to have add more Sims to the house hold
Yes it's possible. I did it yesterday. Assuming you have four Sims: mom, dad and two kids, Age one of the kids so he/she is an Adult. Move that sim into another house and then your crib should allow you to add another baby. During the day that the baby is taking to be delivered simply have the sim who moved out "ask to move in". They'll move back in and once the baby comes you'll have five sims in one house!
Also I haven't tested this but if you don't want your sim to be an Adult yet I think you have have him/her become a Teen Idol, move into the teen idol house and move back through the same steps.
I've provided a pic. As you can see even though only four people show for the Weasley family in the image, at the top right corner it states that there are five people living in one household.

You cannot have more than 4 Sims in the house unless like someone said you make one an Adult and move them out and back in. You cannot have triplets or 3 sims who are not adults yet. The other way to do it is to have a family who have the same last name and only one child create a baby and then move house before it has loaded and move the family you want to have another child in.
It doesn't matter how big your house is, it will still only allow you to have 4 Sims living together
You can have five sim in your house by following method
In a house have a sim go to another sim town
Then you can add a baby in this house or ask someone to move in

I have 5 Sims living in a house...I just moved a Sim out and created a baby and while the bababy was being created, I moved the Sim back in
I made another sim move in (best friend) while the second baby is in progress. So I have five Sims in the same house.
I have five Sims in one house and was wondering why I can't add another baby. I have just levelled up a vip stage where one of the perks is +1 sim to each house (or something like that). But this does not help me. The female Adult married an old man and had a baby. He died. She married another old man and had two more. Then he died. She has married a younger man this time. The kids are still babies and I have another crib but cannot add another baby. I am not at the sim limit for my town either. I wonder if there is a limit to how many babies you can have in one town at one time. Anyway I hope this information is useful. Somehow I have more than four sims in one house.
You can have 6 people in one house but first you have to have 3 adults (or teens) and then get each of them at the same time to ask another Adult or teen and then you will have 6
Yay
I have 3 infants and a married couple totalling 5. I received a you are allowed another sim in your household message after leveling up or something. Why is there a limit. As long as they have a bedroom, it should allow multiple children.
How to create a roommate house:
1. Start off with any house you want, as long as one of your Sims live there.
2.Start a romantic relationship between the sim who owns the house and the sim/Sims you want your sim to share the household with .
3.Continue to build a romantic relationship until they become partners.
4.When the 'ask to move in' option appears with the sim's partner/partners click on it.(Maximum amount of people that can be moved into a household is three)
5.Adjust the household to fit all your roommates into.
6.If you do not wish to keep the romantic Relationships you created in order to get the roommate household then, complete a rude action such as 'complain' or 'be rude' once the action is completed, when you press on the roommate sim again you should see an option that says 'break up' clicking on this action will restore the relationship back to the Sims being acquaintances.
Note: When all these Sims move in together they will have the same surname whether they are partners or not.
I had four Sims living in a house 2 adults 1 teen and 1 preteen. Here’s what I did. Step 1. Make the teen be good friends with anther Adult then have that adult ask the teen to move in. Step 2 add your baby to the house. Step 3. While the baby is being made have one of the parents invite the teen back into the house. Then BOOSH you have 5 people in 1 house
I have a family of six, two parents, two toddlers, and two babies. The way to get four kids into one household is this; have a married couple have one baby. (This will work with one child of any Age). Then get another baby to start being made in the crib.
You have to have two kids of any Age in a different household. Have the mother build up her relationship with one child, either by cuddling or talking to them, and have the father do the same thing with the other child. Delete the parents of the kids you want to adopt.
NOTE: If one of the Children you are adopting is a baby, adopt the baby second! If they are both babies, you probably will only be able to adopt one.
After you delete the parents of the soon-to-be-adopted Children, an option should show up saying Adopt. You must adopt both kids at the same time.
ANOTHER NOTE; For example, if you are adopting one baby and one toddler, preteen, or teenager, hit Adopt first for the toddler, teenager, or preteen AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER hit Adopt for the baby.
THIRD NOTE; If you are adopting two kids older than infants, it doesn't matter which one you click first, just do the other one immediately after.
WHY: When you adon't a baby, it is instant, and when you adopt a teenager, toddler, or preteen, it takes six seconds. If you don't click the Adopt button for the other child within the six seconds, it won't let you adopt the second child, and that child will now be an orphan unless you adopt him/her into another family.
THIS "CHEAT" WORKS AS OF NOVEMBER 2017.
(2020) I’ve found a way to have 5 Sims but only with 3 Children and not moving adults :(. So I had 2 kids and a couple in a house and then I moved the husband into another home I’d built. I then put the crib down and started making the baby and asked my sim id moved out to move back in! So now I have 5 sims in one household:D
