Is there any way to trade Pokemon from Silver to SoulSilver? Like, would it be possible to trade from Silver to Sapphire? And then transfer from Sapphire to SoulSilver? Would that work at all?

Sorry, but you can't trade from a Generation two game such as Silver/Gold/Crystal to a Generation three Game such as Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. These games are not compatible with one another, thus rendering them unable to trade or battle together.

Every Pokemon game so far cannot trade with another unless it is within it's own Generation.
Here is a quick rundown on Pokemon game generations:

Generation One:
Pokemon Red
Pokemon Blue
Pokemon Yellow

Generation Two:
Pokemon Gold
Pokemon Silver
Pokemon Crystal

Generation Three:
Pokemon Ruby
Pokemon Sapphire
Pokemon Emerald
Pokemon Firered (Red Remake)
Pokemon Leafgreen (Blue Remake)

Generation Four:
Pokemon Diamond
Pokemon Pearl
Pokemon Platinum
Pokemon Heartgold (Gold Remake)
Pokemon Soulsilver (Silver Remake)

Generation Five:
Pokemon Black
Pokemon White
Pokemon Black 2 (Black Sequel)
Pokemon White 2 (White Sequel)

Each Pokemon game can only trade with another game in it's Generation section.
The only exception to this would be the Importation method between Generations Three and Four, and the PokeTransfer method between Generations Four and Five. This however is not technically Trading.

Thats not true, there was an option in christal where you could battle or trade with yellow red and green catch is you couldent bring any NEW Pokemon in to battle or trade like you were only aloud the origonal 150 so you could have a pikachu, a mewtwo and so on but you couldent have a smoochem or a miltank or a mareep. So I think theres a way to do it atleast with the first two generations..... I just havent figured the rest yet :(
