Just start giving Eevee haircuts once a day and use it in battles. This builds its happiness and then when it gets happy enough, it will evolve. Make sure Eevee evolves in the day light for Espeon.

Get the Eevee from Bill in Goldenrod City. Buy carbos, protein, calcium, iron, hp up, and a pp up (the last 2 I think you have to find them). Duplicate the items you have so that you have 10 of each.

Give them to the Eevee and then save your game. Now duplicate Eevee. Now you should have at least 3 Eevees. Put two into your party. Now use a are candy on one. (if it's night you'll get an umbreon) now wait till the daytime and give a rare candy to the other Eevee.

Now you'll have an Espeon and an Umbreon. This is a long cheat but if you have a cheat cartridge it takes no time.

If you keep Eevee up front and take good care of him and give him haircuts often he we become attached and friendly to you and eventually eveolve but only let him eveolve during day if you let him eveolve at night he will become an Umbrion
