Does anyone know how to get Mew, I only got Celeib. I heard you can only get it from Japan or cheats but is there a way to do without? Thanks

ANSWERS

First you must have an older version, such as Red,Blue,or Yellow. Second, go to Pokemon Blue and look at the hints and cheats pages. They will outline the procedure for getting Mew. Caution: you may have to restart your game... And lastly, trade Mew over to Silver.

The only ways to get mew are:

1. From official Nintendo event
2. Gameshark

One of the above answers is correct, just to clarify which answer you're looking for, its on that involves avoiding a bug catcher above nugget bridge and getting spotted by a hiker near Saffron city as you fly away. However unlikely it soumds, if performed successfully, it works. Mew is an excellent Pokemon. I tried it and I was nearly ready to rate it a bogus report when mew popped up just outside Lavender. Just hunt it down and try it.

As of now, the only way to get it would be Gameshark.

I don't think they have Nintendo Events with Celebi any more.
