IT IS NOT POSSIBLE!!!! Red and Silver were made at different times, and cannot trade or battle with eachother because Silver has Pokemon that Red doesnt
Silver and Gold can't trade with Red, Blue, or Yellow. However, Silver and Gold can w/ eachother and Blue, Red, and Yellow can w/ eachother to.

You can trade items with red to silver. What you CAN'T do is trade Pokemon from silver that were not created in red. As long as both Pokemon you trade existed in red and silver. It can be done, that was the whole point of the Bill run in.
