How do you catch mew on blue, I have tried everything on this page and I still cannot press the start button - before the '!' left of the nugget bridge can someone.

Just go to Pokemon Blue cheats and look for the one by storm serpent. It will say "How to catch Mew in Blue". Follow his steps and you can have mew. or use a gameshark.

First you shouldn't have fought the youngster with the lvl 17 slowpoke and the gambler in front of the pathway to reach Celadon.

Take one step in front of gambler then press start before he can see you then fly to Cerulan city (your meun button shouldn't work) then fight the the youngster wiht the lvl 17 slowpoke (don't just walk right in front of him it will not work take a step away from him) and then after you beat him fly to Lavender town (your meun button will work after you beat him)and go left the meun will pop up and press B not A then mew (lvl 7) will show up and I know you can take it front there.

Don't go for the guy to the left of Nugget Bridge. It's harder to press Start for him.

Do it to the Gambler near Celadon.
