For some reason I can't cut trees! I beat Misty and got the ability, but some how it won't let me. What should I do?

You will not be able to use the CUT ability until you go to the S. S. Anne and talk to the Captain. He gives the HM code that you can give to a Pokemon to use CUT. It is an ability that is unchangable so don't give it to a Pokemon that will have better attacks.
