Question for Pokemon Blue

I'm atempting to trade Pokemon between the games Yellow and Blue on my 2 gba's via a gba link cable. It's not working though and I know it should work because I've traded between other games with the same cable. Also, I got to the option menu once but then my game froze... Does anybody have any advice?

It sounds like one of your games is damaged. This could be caused by a few things. Pokemon Yellow is an old cardridge game, which means that there is a good chance that it has been weathered and damaged over the years. Another possible problem is that the game has been hacked. Any form of Gameshark or Action Replay (I'm not sure what it is for the Gameboy Color) use can damage a game. The problem is most likely the first senario. If the cartridge itself is damaged, you may be able to have it repaired (be sure that who ever does the repair knows what they are doing, otherwise the game could be damaged worse).
