How to Scan a Mii using QR code

You can get new Miis from official Nintendo sources or from other 3DS owners through QR codes. This is a rather easy and fun thing to do so follow the steps below:

1. From the Home menu, launch Mii Maker.





2. Tap QR Code / Image Options in the bottom
   
   


3. Tap Scan QR Code on the top
   
   


4. Align the square in the upper screen to the code you want to scan. Stay still until a Mii is generated. You can try scanning the Mii QR codes below:
   
   
   
   
   


5. You'll be asked to save the Mii. If you downloaded a special Mii, you'll get a warning not to delete it since you won't be able to download it via QR code anymore.
