How to Retrieve your Forgotten Parental Control Pin

Follow the steps below to recover your forgotten Parental Controls PIN. Make sure that your 3DS's date is set on "today" (when you want to retrieve the PIN)

1. Head to System Settings and select Parental Controls.
   
   



2. Tap Forgot PIN and enter the answer to your secret question



3. If you don't know the answer to your secret question, select "I Forgot"



4. The screen like one below will appear. Write down your Inquiry Number.
   
   



5. Enter the inquiry number on the Nintendo Support Site.
   
   

To complete the PIN reset, you have to contact Nintendo Consumer Service and provide them the Inquiry Number.
