How do get a rathian plate, kill 20 of them. But no luck so far.?

I had to kill 40 (offline) before I got 1.

Carve the severed tail and you might get one

The best way to get a Rathian plate is to cut off it's tail and carve it, wound the face, and capture the monster.

If your doing a low star quest, they can be more difficult to obtain such as 2 star online compared to a 3 star rathalos. Ive got two rathalos plates without trying, not much luck with rathian as it's 2 star though. Best shot is to keep going or solo it as it's a higher star in the village for a more likely chance.

Hello! The best way to get those hard to get plates are to re-do the "dragon lady" quest but this time make sure you cut off the tail and if you have no luck after carving it finish her off and look at the quest rewards at the end for cutting off the tail increases the chance of getting it at the end, you might have to do this a few times to get the amount needed but don't worry be happy you will get them!
