Majestic Horn?

Majestic Horn?
Is there something special that has to be done when killing a Diablos to get a Majestic Horn from it? Everyone that I've grouped with has had no clue what it comes from... However it's description clearly states it is from a Diablos. I need it to make myself a Rugged Lance+. I have been trying for... Oh 2 weeks now maybe? To get one. Its making me quite angry actually... I've killed/slain over 20 of them so far, and done multiple combinations of the subquests, as well as having 1 horn off, 2 off, or both on, as well as those with the tail on/off.

it's an 8% chance at getting it after breaking the horns off.
I've been trying like crazy myself.

Same here. Can't get it as a carve or quest reward, only way is to break both diablos horns, very low drop rate. Goes faster if you end via subquest after breaking horns. Less time fighting but unfortunately the same d*** drop rate. Traps and bombs work best IMO for quickly removing horns.

(for easy get) get a firestone from mining in volcanos 7or 8 area and exchange it to the trading elder in forest and hills

YES, Finally!!!!!!
I know there is some debate about whether petting your piggy increases your chances for low drop items but I brought my pig right to the quest counter and dropped him there (pig fell asleep). The quest girl said "oh, you brought your piggy". Picked the diablo quest, snuggled with the pig, got a little love from it and then went on the quest and finished it via subquest after breaking both horns. Got my majestic horn!!! Whether petting the pig right at the quest counter helped or was just coincidence I don't know.

Break both horns. Event quests usually raise the percentage of getting this item, and doing it on high rank alone puts it up to 24%
