Engineers (Mountains) - Preferred faction when playing against:

Alchemists

Darklings

Mermaids

Giants

Fakirs

Nomads

Cultists

Halflings

Ability

As an Action, you may build a Bridge for 2 Workers. (You may take this Action any number of times during a round. You may still build Bridges via the respective Power action.)

Stronghold

After building the Stronghold, each round when passing, get 3 Victory points for each Bridge connecting two of your Structures.

Story

Initially, Engineers have been a mountain tribe living in inaccessible valleys and ravines. They have learned how to build bridges and mountain roads to keep their remote settlements connected. They enjoy dominating nature by means of technology. They appear eccentric to the other factions when poring over their construction plans.

Common Strategy: Build at least one temple along with a few dwellings from round 1. Alternatively, (and if rendered plausible) try to build two temples in the first round. If not, just try to build the second temple to generate power token income. You may also want to take additional power token relevant bonuses. Build bridges in first 3 or 4 rounds using the spade bonus card and Power Token action/conversion (to spade), in order to build your Dwellings. Build Stronghold before you reach round 4 to maximize Victory Points.

Notes:

Green tile + Combo Green/Red tile = preferred starting dwelling positions

Red tile + combo green/red tile = Alternative starting dwelling positions
