Geological Exploration Guide

When you enter the Drowned Lands in the Taymyr region in Russia you will be able to accept the Geological Exploration for Oil Recon contract which involves loading a Seismic Vibrator Module on the back of your truck to conduct a soil survey to 3 points from North, South, and West. What Vehicle to use

You can accept the Geological Research contract when you enter the Drowned Lands in the Taymyr, Russia region. The requirement needed to star oil contracts is to have a Seismic Vibrator Module attached to your truck. Not all the vehicles in SnowRunner can equip this device, listed below are those that can.

How to get the Seismic Vibrator Module

This piece of equipment is free of cost and to get hold of it you need to access the Garage and go to the customize section. Under 'Customization' select 'Frame Addons' under 'Upgrade' and choose the 'Seismic Vibrator Module' to load it onto the back of your truck. Before doing so make sure you you have detached the trailer. Unless you load Seismic Vibrator Module, the objective will not show the location or distance for the survey.

How to Explore

Once you are out in the field you will be able to pinpoint the locations you need to complete the contract. To prevent damaging the Seismic Vibrator Module it is advised that you do not approach your goal too fast. If you open your map and mark the location that is facing in front for the reference you can make it quickly to your destination and stop wandering aimlessly.
