How to Complete Aesop's Challenge

Completing Aesop's Challenge is not easy as it relies heavily on your ability to hold back and time your actions perfectly. When you do manage to complete it you will be rewarded with Aesop's Tome which will enable you to interact with Memory Fragments. Before you attempt Aesop's Challenge it is recommended that you acquire the Vault Rune which once in your possession will improve your Heirloom and allow you to increase the number of mid-air jumps you can perform which will be extremely useful. The best class to perform Aesop's Challenge is the Barbarian as it has the highest amount of Health Points and having plenty of health is essential. When you first enter the room you will need to reach the top of a few platforms, make sure you avoid the swinging lanterns while you are doing this. If you did not unlock the Vault Rune you will need to be hit by the lanterns in order to get the momentum that carries you upward. This however will do some damage which is why you need a lot of health or preferably the Vault Rune. At the top you need to jump into the gap within a spinning circle of fire. You will find this difficult to do without taking damage which is why it is important that you try to clear the previous area unharmed.

In the next area you have to open a series of doors while at the same time avoiding the projectiles that come your way. These projectiles will only launch when you press the Attack button on your controller. If you are using the Barbarian class you can avoid being fired upon by the missiles by using the Barbarian Shout to open the doors. Then swing and dash in combination to make it through the level. There are some red lights that you need to deactivate which will attract enemies, so be prepared for the unexpected. This part is tricky so take your time, there is no need to rush.

Although the rest of Aesop's Challenge is made up of variations of the last section you will find that the difficulty has been ramped up significantly. You will still need to defeat the enemies while avoiding the projectiles that will launch when you attack. In one of the rooms there is a series of knights that will fall down next to one another and then attack you. If you are using the Barbarian you can use Barbarian Shout to freeze the knights in place before escaping up to the higher platforms. To complete Aesop's Challenge you will now have to fight a series of new enemies while deactivating the lights.
