Character Build Guide

Each of the three different character classes or archetype have different specialities which you can use during gameplay to help control the battlefield. Check out our Character Build Guide for Remnant: From the Ashes to find out what the best loadout is for each archetype.

The Scrapper Archetype

The Scrapper specializes in close-range combat and melee damage and are armed with the Shotgun, Repeater Pistol and Scrap Hammer. The Scrapper is particularly adept when close to their enemy and their Hot Shot mod imbues their ammunition with fire giving it a chance to set enemies on fire.

Rings:

Band of Strength (big damage increase).

Amulet:

Twisted Idol

Trait:

Keeper’s Blessing

Weapon Mod:

Corrosive Aura (for reducing enemy armour).

The Ex-Cultist Archetype

The Ex-Cultist specializes in mid-range combat and support and are armed with the Coachgun, Repeater Pistol, and Scrap Hatchet. The Ex-Cultist are able to use their burst damage to control the mid-range and using their Menders Aura mod they are able to cast an area effect heal that gradually restores health for all teammates.

The Assault Rifle

Best Secondary Weapon:

SMG

Best Melee Weapon

As this is a mid-long range based loadout you can fill the slot with any melee weapon of your choice.

Best Ring:

Stone of Balance (increases ranged damage by 10%).

Best Amulet:

Gunslinger’s Charm

Best Trait:

Executioner

Weapon Mod:

Hunter’s Mark (increases your critical chance against marked enemies).

The Hunter Archetype

The Hunter specializes in long range combat and are proficient at taking out targets before they get close. The Hunter is armed with with a Hunting Rifle, Repeater Pistol, and Scrap Sword. They also have the Hunters Mark mod which marks enemies allowing the Hunter and their teammates to see targets through walls. It also increases Critical Hit Chance against marked targets.

Sniper Rifle

Best Melee Weapon:

As this is a long range based loadout you can fill the slot with any melee weapon of your choice.

Best Ring:

Hunter’s Band (increases weak spot damage by 25%)

Best Amulet:

Brutal Mark (deal more damage to bosses)

Best Trait:

Mind's Eye (increased ranged damage).

Weapon Mod:

Blink Token (teleports you, good for repositioning).
