Remanant: From the Ashes Trailer

As one of the last remnants of humanity your objective is to set out either alone or alongside up to two other players to face down hordes of deadly enemies and bosses as you try to retake what was lost. At your disposal is technology to open portals to other realms and alternate realities to search for the source of the invading evil as you hunt it down with an arsenal of weapons, armour, and special modifications that you can use to adapt to any situation.

Cheats, Tips and Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include targeting vulnerable spots on enemies and spawning enemies. As well as these hints and tips we also have a mini-guide here which goes into more details on some of the tips we have below:

  • Explore Levels Thoroughly
  • Make sure you explore every level thoroughly as they are each full of resources to collect, equipment and other secrets. Make it a habit to melee all crates and anything else wooden, like tables, chairs, and bookcases as these can be broken and will drop scrap, the game's primary currency, and iron, which is used for crafting. Check out our Finding Key Items Guide page to find out where you can find these essential items in Remnant: From the Ashes.

  • Use the Minimap
  • When exploring always use the minimap that is in the corner of the screen for reference. Clear all 'fog of war' to ensure you have explored everywhere on the map and have not missed any hidden magic rings, tomes of knowledge or even a weapon. Check out our Weapon Location Guide page to find out where you can find all the weapons in Remnant: From the Ashes.

  • Target Enemy Weak Spots
  • When you encounter an enemy you need to quickly discover what their weak spot is and target it as doing so will do significantly more damage. A red damage counter figure shows that you've hit a weak spot of an enemy, a yellow one signifies a critical hit while one in bold red indicates a vulnerable point and critical hit combined. Check out our Best Weapons Guide to find out what the best weapons are early in the game.

  • Master the Roll Mechanic
  • It is important that you master the roll mechanic as this dodge maneuver if timed correctly will allow you to avoid damage and getting the upper hand on enemies.

  • Dealing with Explosive Minions
  • The best way to deal with the explosive minions that are present in most of the boss fights is to shoot them close to the boss or before they reach you. This ensures that they won't cause damage to you upon exploding, but only to the boss enemy.

  • Avoid Spawning Enemies
  • Most of the enemies you encounter in the game will be in place in a level waiting for but there will be others that will spawn in from nearby passageways or materialise from thin air. This means you should always listen out for noises such as screams or enemy taunts to avoid being caught out by surprise.

  • Stock Up on Consumables
  • Make sure you stock up on the various consumables that can either be looted or brought from Reggie in Ward 13. These include antidotes to every type of status effect, standard health potion to supplement your Dragon Shard and several buff items which although optional will come in useful during boss battles. Ammo boxes are also worth having as they ensure you can replenish ammo without having to retreat to a checkpoint and respawn enemies.

We hope these tips help you out in the game, but for further help, try our beginners guide, we also have some FAQs for Remnant: From the Ashes, you can also submit your own questions there for other players to answer.
