Extra notes: This is the final stage for the first world so expect it to be far harder to beat than any of the levels you have beaten so far. If you are just a casual gamer trying off games like this for the first time, you’ll probably take more than just a few tries to successfully beat this level. Nonetheless, here is our strategy to beat this Boss level with just the 3 initial Heroes (Fee, Lancelot and Bolton).

Campaign Mode strategy: Start off with a fully upgraded cannon and two barracks at the front-lines (top). Secure the passage way by relocating your ground troops like shown in the image. Position Lancelot on the right side as the bigger chunk of the mob will pass there. Have the barracks their first upgrade at least. For everything that passes through the choke point, have Fee’s wolf clean ‘em up.

At the start of the second wave. Add two choke points at the bottom part of the map as seen on the image. There is a high tendency that the spiders will break through your first choke point so be ready for this. Position your Heroes so they don’t die easily in between the waves as they are very important in shaving off the numbers of the enemies. Build a cannon on the center of the map and gradually upgrade it as the resources come. Add an archer tower near the right entry point to prepare for the following wave.

At the 3rd wave, whenever the enemy mobs from the top and right entry point converge, use Bolton’s lightning to desolate the clumped cluster (yeah, it feels good to do that). Utilize Lancelot’s defense buff too to hold the line.

Add another barracks at the bottom to beef up your last line of defense. Continue to upgrade this build until the 5th wave. Also, add an archery towers on the remaining slots on the left and right side of the map to help you with the crow volume in this wave. The 6th wave gets tricky as the villager comes out from the top, and is quickly followed by a fast mob of wild hogs coming from the top left entry point. Have Lancelot confront them along with your ground troops at the top. Place Fee and Bolton near the right entry point to hold off enemies coming from the top and the right entry points. Upgrade the remaining towers as the resources come. Also, purchase some range buff for some of the archery towers to increase the range of their nearby towers.

At the 7th wave, have all of your towers upgraded to their fullest. You’ll have it easy with this build on the 7th wave, with a few hundred coins to spare. Use this to purchase extensive upgrades to your towers (more rockets, higher attack from troops, etc.) The key in surviving the 8th wave in the game is by keeping your Heroes alive the entire time. Check the image below for the optimal position of the heroes.

Have Lancelot control the mob coming from the top entry points along with the ground troops. Position them too near the path of the Slime Boss (as seen on the image). Having a choke point in its path will help the cannons target it more easily. Keep re-positioning your Heroes to have the Slime Boss in their proximity. Use Bolton’s lightning to shave of the mobs’ numbers. Use Lancelot whenever a choke point falls down (meaning all of the troops died at that point). He may temporarily hold the line until they re-spawn. If you get overwhelmed by a mob, do not hesitate to use your power items like bombs, summons, or even health potion.

You may weigh your performance (if there is a chance of succeeding in this wave) by checking if all your Heroes are still alive until the point the Slime Boss reaches the left most archery tower, and his HP is almost halved. Use the Fee’s wolf to the mob and not with the Slime Boss. Do not hesitate to remove Lancelot from the front-lines whenever his life reaches its critical point. He is capable of healing himself and his allies which is more important. If all is well, the mob boss should die midway below the center aisle (with cannon).

Legendary strategy: Almost impossible to beat with your first three Heroes. Wait up until you get Smoulder at least before confronting this challenge. The key here is to lay down as much barracks to hold off the slime boss. Build a cannon at the center aisle to keep attacking the boss throughout its walk. Keep your heroes (preferably ranged attackers) on proximity to keep attacking the boss all throughout the level. If possible, use power items to help you hold off its walk as much as you can. Re-position your troops as needed (to maximize the time they hold off the slime boss). Even with strong heroes like Smoulder and Efrigid, it takes the slime boss to reach the bottom most lane before it gets beaten.
