Campaign Mode strategy: This level initially showcases the passive buffs rendered by a fully upgraded wizard tower. Basically, having the full upgrade of the tower and its passive buff will endow units on its proximity, some Haste buff. Haste will make them move faster – meaning faster attack rate, and to some extent, make them stronger. During this stage, you’ll also be introduced to masamune – a hero that instantly teleports to your choice of location, and stuns every enemy on his proximity. He also performs critical hits to enemies that is stunned. Use him to get rid of the monster spawned near your base to survive the game with perfect lifepoints.
Concentrate building barracks or archer towers near the roundabout to maximize the buff rendered by the wizard tower. Put your Heroes on the main entry point on the top (except for Fee which should be placed behind the wizard tower instead). Try to three or more fully upgraded cannons and a fully upgraded barracks below to tank and control the crowd, and obliterated by the rockets from the cannons.
The good reason for the cannons is that they cover almost the entire map – which is beneficial especially with the additional objective of saving the villager. Check the image above for the final build when nearing the last wave of the game.
Legendary strategy: There is no barracks in this level for its handicap. So instead, you’ll have your Heroes to hold the line for you. Build a cannon at the center aisle and two wizard towers near the exit on the opposing sides of the roundabout (refer to the image). Position Lancelot at the exit, and the two heroes adjacent to him in the grass areas. To make sure you can deal with enemies that passes through the choke point, build an archery tower at the bottom. Fully upgrade these towers, and you’ll be done in a jiffy.
