Nioh 2 Benevolent Graves Guide
In Nioh 2 Benevolent Graves are blue graves you can interact with during Ochoko Cups to summon help from a player character when you are struggling with a difficult situation. Check out our Benevolent Graves Guide to find out how this mechanic works in Nioh 2.
What are Benevolent Graves
In Nioh 2 Benevolent Graves is a mechanic that allows you to summon help from another players character. When you summon help it will not be the actual player that comes to your aid but their character which will be controlled by the AI. Once this character has been summoned it will perform to the best of its ability until it either dies or the timer runs out. The summoned character can be used to give you respite in the middle of a tough fight or as a decoy to draw enemy attention. When you get summon help from another player they will receive a reward for giving you access to their character.
How to Interact with Benevolent Graves
If you are playing online you will find blue graves where other players have died. If you play offline there will be a preset blue grave at a fixed location in most of the main missions. To interact with a blue Benevolent Grave you must first approach it, when you do so a pop-up will appear on screen that will give you all the information you need to know about the character you are about to summon. This includes their name, level, gear they have, how many Soul Cores they have equipped and how many Ochoko Cups are required in order to summon them.
How to get Ochoko Cups
In Nioh 2 Ochoko Cups are sake cups that are required to make offerings at Shrines and summon other players characters at the blue Benevolent Graves. The list below is how you can obtain Ochoko Cups.
Kodama BazaarYou can buy Ochoko Cups from the Kodama Bazaar at a Shrine (under the Make Offering tab). They will cost you two Divine Rice each.
Fight RevenatsWhen you interact with the red Bloody Graves you will summon another player's character as a Revenant who will attack you. If you manage to kill them they will drop one or more Ochoko Cups and you will get some of their gear as a reward. If you are unable to find any Revenants that are easy to defeat you can always return to earlier levels to find some weaker ones.
Help Other PlayersIf you select 'Starting Point' at the world map and then 'Torii Gate' you will be taken to a player who is attempting to summon help at a blue Benevolent Grave. If you help them out by allowing them to access your character you will be given some Ochoko Cups as a reward.
Righteous JasperRighteous Jasper is a consumable item that gives you the ability to create a Benevolent Grave. If a player uses it and summons your character you will recieve Ochoko Cups as a reward.
How to Place a Benevolent Grave
You can place your own blue Benevolent Grave in Nioh 2 if you have the Righteous Jasper item which is obtained by either completing certain missions or by crafting them. Once you have the Righteous Jasper item you will be able to place a blue Benevolent Grave where you are standing. You will then receive rewards proportionate to the number of time other players use that partcular grave. You cannot use one of your blue Benevolent Graves yourself.
