In Metro Exodus ammo is not easy to come by so knowing how to get ammo is important if you want to survive the post-apocalyptic Russian wilderness. During the game you will encounter hordes of enemies, many of which are resilient and will require a lot of ammunition to handle the threat. Listed below are three ways which will show you how to get ammo in the game.
Search Corpses
If you encounter an enemy solider or bandit that is firing shots at you it means that there is a good possibility that they will have a supply of ammunition on them, make sure when you take them down you search their corpse and retrieve it. Monsters and other paranormal beasts will attack you with tooth and claw and will not drop ammunition when killed.
Explore
There are plenty of buildings in Metro Exodus and it can be worthwhile exploring them for ammunition. Search any boxes and chests you find and lifting objects from the ground can sometimes reward you with additional ammo. When you find that you are low on ammunition you may want to consider doing some exploration before you continue your journey. A good habit generally in the game when you are in a building is to search the room you are in as there is always the chance you could pick up some extra ammunition there.
Craft Ammunition
In Volga you can unlock workbenches which can be used to upgrade equipment and craft additional items such as ammunition. Remember that you cannot craft ammunition using your backpack so before setting off on a mission you should always try to replenish your supplies using a workbench.
