How to Craft Potassium Nitrate

In LifeAfter Potassium Nitrate is a rare item that is used to craft plastic. There are two different ways that you can obtain this item, you can either buy it or craft it. Although the quickest way to get Potassium Nitrate is to buy it but due to its high cost you may want to consider crafting it.

Buying Potassium Nitrate

Potassium Nitrate can be purchased at the Town Hall which can be found at the central market. Inside the Town Hall tap on the 'Trade' option and you will find Potassium Nitrate in the 'Resources' category under 'Mine Resources'. It's always worth checking the prices before you buy as they tend to fluctuate and you may get a better deal if you return at a later time. It is also here you can bring the Potassium Nitrate you craft to sell and make money.

Crafting Potassium Nitrate

To craft potassium Nitrate you will need to have the following resources and item:

• Camp Ore Extractor

• Drill Engine Oil

• Alloy Drill Bit

How to get a Camp Ore Extractor

A Camp Ore Extractor is a mining machine that enables you to extract the ore resources you need to craft Potassium Nitrate. You can craft it at the material bench using Wood, Stone, and Hemp. You will be able to obtain all of these items from the Autumn Forest region. Once crafted you need to plant the Camp Ore Extractor in the farmland.

How to get Drill Engine Oil

To run the Camp Ore Extractor you have crafted will require Drill Engine Oil. You can get it from the wilderness chests, from the trade city, and from the camp vault merchant.

How to get an Alloy Drill Bit

The alloy drill bit is an item that is needed to allow the Camp Ore Extractor get ore. Completing the Newbie Quests in Chapter 3 will enable you to get 1 drill bit. You can get more Alloy Drill Bits from chests in the snow highlands, Charles Town, and Sandcastle areas. Most of the chests in Sandcastle you will find in abandoned houses. There is also the option of buying an Allow Drill Bit in the market under the 'Training' option. It will cost 200 gold bars or training medals.

How to Extract Potassium Nitrate

Once you have the required items and placed the Camp Ore Extractor in the farmland you need to select the 'Extract' option, followed by the 'Alloy Drill' bit and then add fuel. The process will take several hours but when you return you should find ore in the drilling section. You will now be able to use a pickaxe to to mine potassium nitrate and stones.
