Last Updated:

In previous Mainstream Pokemon Games, you could only improve the odds of catching a Wild Pokemon by lowering their Hit Points and using a better type of Poke Ball. Though using a better type of Poke Ball will still increase the odds of capturing a Wild Pokemon, players can also improves their chances of catching a Wild Pokemon by a number of other techniques. The first is by completing a Catch Combo, where you must catch the same species of Pokemon in a row.

Players can also increase their chances of a capture by hitting the middle of the circle that appears around a Wild Pokemon before throwing a Poke Ball. Berries can also be used, specifically Razz Berries, to increase these same odds. Furthermore, if two players are playing the game at the same time and throw their Poke Balls in Sync with one another at a Wild Pokemon, the odds of capturing it will improve as well.
