Listed below are several Beginner Tips and Tricks which will help you in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Aim for the Head
You will be faced with constant waves of enemies in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and the most efficient way of dealing with it is to use your ranged weapon which will most likely be a blaster. Aim for the head of Stormtroopers whenever possible as shooting off their helmet will uncover their one weakness, their head. If you then aim for another headshot you will inflict a critical hit which will take them out. There are some Stormtroopers that cannot have their helmets knocked off. Using this strategy will make you get through battles a lot faster than if you use melee combat.
Throw your Lightsaber
If you use characters such as Obi-Wan or Qui-Gon Jinn you will be able to throw their lightsabers at enemies in levels where blasters are prohibited. Simply aim your lightsaber with the left trigger of your controller, hover your crosshair over multiple enemies to lock on to them, and throw your lightsaber with the right trigger. Your lightsaber will then fly through the air and slash through your selected targets. Try to avoid melee combat, if you start to get overwhelmed by enemies use jumping or aerial attacks to deal powerful area damage to knock them back.
Must-Have Upgrades
There are plenty of different types of upgrades in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga and some are a lot more useful than others. Upgrades you should consider getting first are Speedy Sprint which will allow you to run faster, enabling you to reach your destinations quicker, saving you a lot of time. Another is Collectible Detector which will highlight important collectibles on the map. If you upgrade it completely you will be able to see all the known locations of Minikits, Ships, Kyber Bricks, and Datacards.
Complete the Main Levels First
It is important that you finish the main levels first without too much exploration. The reason for this is there are a lot of secrets in levels that cannot be discovered without using specific characters. Once you have gone through the main levels you can return and explore much more thoroughly with characters you have acquired, and they will be able to help you solve the puzzle or complete the quest you were unable to do before. Once you have completed the first episode of each trilogy you will have enough characters of each type that you can Free Play previous levels to solve any of the puzzles or specific tasks you may have skipped.
