One Deadly Step

Immediately get Twin Snakes fragment on the pot that is sitting around in the background near the center of the screen.

A new enemy type will be introduced here. A big lizard that will acquire you as a target from a few blocks away and will continue to pursue you. They follow the path you take though and this is how most of them are beaten.

Your first lizard is open to a free kill. Get behind it but before you kill it, there is a pot that contains an emerald very close to your right.

Get it and kill the lizard. Climb the ledge and you will see that the lizard has seen you and will now chase after you. Good thing there is a conveniently placed cracked platform. Them copying your route means they will always be the second one to step on the crack. go up to the lever and pull it to raise the brown platform.

Climb the raised platform and go into view of the lizard. Don't attempt to get the spear. Just head up towards the tower with a crack on its side. When you are atop this small tower, grab the emerald from the pot in front of you.

You will see that the lizard will fall down but survive since there is ground beneath it. Since it can only spot you when you are in front of it, you may kill it or just ignore it. Grab the spear and move to the small alley where it will give you a clear line of sight to the other lizard. Kill it with the spear to proceed to the next area.
