A Narrow Escape

A new element will be introduced here. The giant boulders. These will roll in predictable directions and are hazardous objects. Meaning some of the puzzles involving them can kill you. Here you will show how most of these are triggered and avoided. Just run across the path to "outrun" the boulder.

Before you step on the orange pressure plate, you can see a hidden pot on the other side of the ravine. Grab the sapphire from it and continue along the path. after you get pushed down, go to the side and avoid the boulder. It is shown to you here that pillars can stop the boulders.

In the next area, it is your turn to play with the boulder by killing the snakes. Move along the upper platform and flip the orange lever but not the white one. There is also a hidden pot in the first white platform on this area containing a Frozen Spider fragment.

Move along the path to the very end where you can push the boulder off the path with a push block from its respective lever. You now have a clear shot to the next area.

In this area, first obtain the sapphire from the pot that is hidden behind the bottom pillar.

Climb down the wall and kill the snake on the yellow pressure plate. Grab the spear and pull the pillar onto the yellow pressure plate. Climb back up and use the spear to kill the snake on the orange pressure plate. Doing so pushes the boulder onto a pressure plate that raises the bridge to the next area.
