Stage 02

Distress Call

Briefing:

The invading aline forces, the Fell, attacked the Central ComSat before we could transmit a warning message to Earth. A strike team mus be sent to secure our interstellar comms until we can contact our planet. We will need reinforcements to defend Sagan-1.

Mission Objective:

Recover and protect our Central Comsat installation.

As early as the second stage, the game will introduce you to the different handicaps it can throw at you. Here, you basically start with nothing but your hero. The basic idea here is to fully utilize your hero and his abilities. Since he is on his own, you can't push your way through their numbers (technically you can, but given that your are just starting out in the game, you might easily be defeated when trying to protect the installation later on in this level). Instead, take your time to beat enemies one team at a time, and try to fully regenreate your hero's HP first prior to engaging other enemy teams (the hero will automatically regenerate his HP when he isn't taking damage for a while)

Remember to use the defensive buff skill that momentarily grants your hero invincibility as well as his buff skill that boosts his attacks. Take out all the enemy installations too for you can build your own installation here in return. With this, you can earn additional units to help your hero through the skirmish. Move slowly and collectively, interchange the your hero and your rangers in the front lines to have the ones at the back regenerate their HP. Once you've reach their refinery near the Comsat, destroy it and build your own refinery to summon new units in that area. There is also an icon that lets you avail more recruits in between the Comsat and the Refinery. Let your rangers stand in the proximity of refinery, and your hero on the ( recruit) icon and wait for the gauge to fill up to earn their corresponding rewards (refinery and additional units).

On the last leg of the mission, an endless barrage of the enemy will try to overwhelm your troops. See to it that you protect the Comsat (for it not to take damage) to earn an additional reward that you can avail in the achievements list after defeating the level. Do this by distributing your forces on the two pathways leading to the Comsat. On one side, have your hero defend it along with one team of rangers (rangers, although not as powerful as snipers, can last longer in battles as they have armor at least). On the other side, have the other ranger team defend it along with a Turret, and you're good to go. See to it that you use your hero's skill to outlast the enemy wave. You should be able to defend the installation for at least a minute (a countdown will appear above the screen) in order for the backup to arrive and defeat the level.
