Sim won't use telescope in park
I am on Level 14 and trying to complete the alien quest. The first thing to do is use the telescope in the park to look for UFOs. I keep trying to make my sim do this but every time they get the bubble over their head with the two blue footsteps. I have tried every sim and each one does this. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I had the same problem but the following think worked for me:
Buy the Telescope from The Hobby Shop and place it in your garden
Let a sim use it. You don't have to complete the the action so you can cancel after a minute
Now send that same sim to the Park and he or she can use the Telescope :-)

I'm having the same problem iv tried to purchase a telescope and make them use it first but as soon as it's in park they refuse! I have tried everything help?

You used the same sim for both telescopes? If that doesn't help I don't know either sorry

I can't use the Telescope either for searching the ufos :( my Sims wont go near that thing, I've tried to make them walk next to it but for some reason they can't go closer than like three feet measured in sims' feet!! Please someone help!!! I tried that thing mentioned above, still not working :( I'm in level 22...

I am having the same problem with the Park Telescope, seems a fairly common problem but I haven't found any solution that works for me

There is more than one Telescope in the Park, the one that worked for me was situated on the wooden bridge over the pond.

How I do itGuest answered:
You have to go to the Hobby store and buy a Telescope. Then go to a Sims house and place the telescope on the lawn. Have one of your sims click on it and it says cloudwatch. Have your sim do that for one minute and then cancel the action. You have to take that same sim to the Park and then there should be a different telescope that you can click on and I go search. My new telescope was by the pond.

I already have a Telescope and I've gotten a sim to use it, but I can't find a telescope in the Park, I've searched everywere for it, what can I do?
