My ghost hunting Sims won't hunt for ghosts anymore?

Me too! I just had him do the ghost hunting competition and he placed first, but since he finished that he won't hunt at home. When I touch a spooky item I get the red circle with a line through and he shakes his head. I was one ghost away from completing the whole set too!! :(

I think it is because another sim is completing a Fishing task as mine stopped when I set another to fish for 12 hours as the task said they were bored of ghost hunting. If it does not go back after the sim has completed the fishing task then I am completely stumped.

Same thing for me today. Wait for update to fix the bug I guess....

Same here. Didn't send ghost hunting Sim to fish because I was afraid she would forget everything she knew about ghost hunting.
I sent my Fishing expert to fish. Now "spooky" Items act like regular items.

I think it's because you have another sim doing another activity, such as Fishing. When he or she stops that, you should be able to hunt. Otherwise I have no idea

Same!! It's stopped working after I added a story level.. So idk, I'm going to keep trying then wait for an update to maybe fix it :(

Yep. Me too. Had my Sim ghost hunting all night long; no problems. This morning, it refused to do it. No idea what happened.

I am having the same problem.. I went and spent a lot of my LP for ghost Items and still nothing

This bug doesn't appear to have anything to do with Sims engaging in other Activities (Fishing, designing Fashion, wood working, etc.). I stopped all other activities and still cannot hunt ghosts.

Non of my Sims can ghost hunt either. I haven't updated anything, added anything or have any othe rooms doing hobbies. Very frustrating. Lets hope the powers that be are aware of the problem and fix it soon.

I have the same problem, it's not even an option anymore formy bookcase!

Same thing happened to me two days ago something must be wrong with it . I tried having new Sims ghost hunt even in different Houses but still a red circle with a line :( grr

All three of us in this household have had the same problem and all our Sims are at different levels. Think it must be a bug, wait for update.

Apparently ghost hunting has been temporarily disabled due to a glitch when you try to ghost hunt in two-story houses. There's an EA rep talking about it [https://getsatisfaction.com/firemonkeys/topics/ghost_hunting_is_no_longer_available]here[/url].

Mine refuse to hunt as well, one of my Sims has maxed out ghost hunting and the others refuse to hunt anymore. Mine started on May 13, hoped this bug is fixed soon.

Mine has stopped also....since the spaceship has shown up....maybe it's sonething to do with that.?

I Believe it has something to do with the new Alien update... But I can't seem to make my spaceship land :/

Same here! I went & bought 3 more ghost furniture & nothing happened! & then my teen wont chsnge out of her School uniform no matter how many times I change her outfit.

My ghost hunting Sims stopped wanting to ghost hunt while I was still completing the construct o coins Goals. Now the spaceship finally landed and the Alien is walking around, but no change. I guess it is a bug....

It is disabled now.

"Unfortunately due to a current bug relating to ghost hunting in homes with multiple stories (as seen here: https://getsatisfaction.com/firemonke...), these actions have currently been disabled to prevent any further problems for our players until this bug has been corrected in the next update. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

All ghost-hunting Goals have also been disabled with this in mind. If you still have issues with ghost-hunting goals, please let us know and we will do what we can to help."

Same here. It's so frustrating he's just showing the red circle with the line through it and shaking his head I even spent more money on the furniture. And it's definately not because other Sims are Fishing or anything cause none of them are doing any of that. I only just tried ghost hunting for the first time in a while now, the last time was a few months ago, so I have no idea when it started.

I'm having the same problem! What a bummer! I REALLY liked the ghost hunting feature. My Sim was a ghost hunting guru...now she doesn't want to do it anymore! ? I used a lot of LP and bought new ghost pics for all my Sims Houses thinking maybe that would work - didn't work. Stopped all of my other Sims from doing any Activities - didn't work. SO FRUSTRATING!!! I was on a roll for awhile there. I hope this problem will be fixed sooner than later :(

I've caught all of the ghosts several times and it gives you LOTS of Lifestyle Points when you complete the set over and over. I wanted to get mine to hunt so I could get more LP to finish up my Alien Goals. Maybe they've disabled it temporarily to make you actually work for your Teleporter instead of just being able to LP your way through Osiris's goals.
That is the only thing I can think of. I'm sure they'll have it fixed/enabled again before too long...

I was reading online and the company said they temporalily disabled it because of a glitch and it's going to be fixed in there next update.

Well we all know they're not very good at pleasing people with their updates. ( the preteen to Adult thing ) and now they're making a winter weather thing when it's just starting to get hot outside?!

This is happening because the update for the Alien. Y'all will be able to hunt again but y'all have to wait until y'all discover the alien because e ghost are afraid of the alien

Click on the Hobby icon, beside the sim(s) that is a ghost catcher there is a little ghost icon to see your ghosts that you caught...click to view all ghosts...scroll down at the bottom there should be a button to start ghost hunting again.
