Intermission
Speak to Lucy when Warren leaves the room. This is the last time you can speak with Lucy, so if you are playing the Xbox 360 version and have gone through all of the dialogue with her, you should receive the Conversationalist achievement at this point. Afterwards, enter Desmond's room and use the bed there to continue. Lie down on the Animus table to start.

Masyaf
Start following the marker on the GPS. You'll soon come to a group of guards. Attempting to walk past them will cause them to attack, so be ready. Another group of enemies drops down from the hills once you've dealt with the first batch, but luckily your allies show up and help you out. Head up the hill to meet with your friends. After a brief conversation, climb up the steps and start towards the fortress. Move through the crowd of people gathered outside and enter the fortress. Go into the Garden of Paradise to confront Al Mualim

Al Mualim
The master stands on the balcony above, binding Altair while he speaks. Afterwards, Al Mualim summons each of the nine men that you assassinated during previous Memory Blocks. They are not real, of course, but the pain they inflict certainly is. Countering and blocking is the key to success here. Each hit from one of them knocks off two Sync bars, so don't let yourself get backed into a corner. They won't give you too much trouble if you focus on countering their attacks.

Once you have killed all of the illusions, Al Mualim creates several clones of himself. Use Eagle Vision as soon as you regain control over Altair and search for the real Al Mualim. His clones appear red when you use Eagle Vision, while Al Mualim himself is gold. The color effects will only remain for a short while once you have exited Eagle Vision, so try your best to keep track of the Al Mualim that you identified as real. Both Al Mualim and his clones can dish out some serious hurt, so again, focus on blocking and countering; don't just rush for the real Al Mualim.

Real Al Mualim
Real Al Mualim
It won't be easy to single out the real Al Mualim with all of the clones attacking you as well. You may wish to simply stand your ground and fight off all of them and leave it to chance that you will encounter the true Al Mualim, since these guys won't go down easily either. At the start of the battle, however, you can make a mad dash for the real one, as you may be able to take him out quickly if you counter one of his initial attacks and slash at him while he's down on the ground.

When you have found and bested the true Al Mualim, a cutscene is triggered. Afterwards, you must again face the real Al Mualim in combat. Counter one of his attacks and he will disappear. The Sync bar quickly diminishes, so if he hits you once you will die. You'll have to hit Al Mualim first to avoid this. He can be hiding on any one of the three levels in the Garden. You can easily find him by searching for the glowing of the relic. To avoid being killed, first select your Short Blade, then lock onto Al Mualim and throw a knife at him before he can get close.

Hitting him causes the Sync bar to reappear. Counter one of his attacks to make him teleport again. Seek him out and throw another throwing knife at him. Continue this cycle and eventually Al Mualim will stop disappearing. One more counter at this point and Altair will then pounce on Al Mualim while he is down, ending his life.

End
When you gain control of Desmond, use Eagle Vision to view the markings on the floor, then enter Desmond's room and view the markings on the wall behind the bed.

It's not over yet, there's still much more to do. If you have Warren's Access-Key pen, you can access the computer in the conference room and read the message in the inbox. You can also use the Animus table to revisit any of the Memory Blocks, and this time around you won't lose any Sync for killing innocents. For you achievement hounds, there are 420 flags to collect and 60 templar to eliminate throughout the entire Kingdom and its cities. That should keep you busy for awhile!
